Edelweiss
Edelweiss is the lodge that I stayed at during my trip to Germany.
Edelweiss is a big lodge and has about 4 restaurant's in it it all so
has a game room and a pool table in it. and some gambling machine
and it has Starbucks in it

zugspitzes
This mountain is the tallest in Germany. It is part of the Apls. from the top you can see the Swiss and Italian Aps.The cross you see has a meaning. they put them on the mountains so that you can sign your name in a little box on it. They use if you come up missing. they check the box to see if your name is signed in. So they know if you signed it you made it to the top and you must be somewhere on the way down.

This is the sign you see when you get to the lodge. it snowed while we were there. It was very beautiful.

This front view has 3 different flags. the American,Bavarian and German.The lodge has pretty painted murals telling the story of the Edelweiss flower.

Guest room
This is what our room looked like.
Hay shed's
these hay sheds are everywhere in the fields.The German name is Stardheuls ( spelled wrong I am sure).The farmers use them to put the unbailed hay in the protect it from the summer lightening storms.It is neat to see them EVERYWHERE you go.
Partenkirchen house
This is a typical home in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. They are very old and beautiful every home has flower boxes. They take great pride in making them pretty to look at. This also shows the water troughs.The farmers still bring the cattle through the village every moring and evening. the cattle barns are connected to the homes in the back. So the families and animals all live in the same dwellings.
Linderhof Palace
This Palace is filled with gold. it is the only one of King Ludwig's palaces/castles that is finished. He stayed in this one more often then the others. The gardens were very big and full of flowers and fountains they were leafed with gold. Ludwig idolized the French King. nicknamed The Sun King. This Palace is a tribute to him.

This Castle at Disneyland is modeled after Nueshwanstein Castle
Neuschwanstein Castle
This Castle is amamzing. It has over 200 rooms but only 18 finished.The rooms are very fancy.It sits on top of a mountain. you have to hike up there. You can ride in a horse drawn carrige but it costs alot. the hike is 2 miles and it is very steep. I loved this castle because of the carpentry and skill of the builders. You can't take pictures inside they want to preserve it.
Ludwig's bed
Ludwig's bed at Neuschwanstein it took 12 woodworkers 4 years to complete this bed.
Glockinspiel
This is in Munich or Munchen as the Germans call it. It is awesome. the Glockenspiel really works. On the hour the clock chimes and the Glockensiel moves. It has danceing figures and some joist. It is very cool.
The entrance to Dachau Concentraion camp
"ARBEIT MACHT FREI" this means WORK MAKES YOU FREE or it really means if you work hard enough you will die and be free.
